Xyzal 5mg tablet contains levocetirizine which is an antihistamine. It is used to relieve symptoms of hay fever (allergic rhinitis) such as sneezing, itching, runny nose, and watery eyes. It can also be used to relieve symptoms of hives (urticaria), such as itching and rash.
Dose
- Adults and children 12 years and above : one tablet of 5mg once a day.
- Children aged 6 to 12years : one tablet of 5mg once a day.
Precautions
- Concurrent intake of alcohol with the drug.
- Patients with predisposing factors to urinary retention, it may increase urinary retention.

Patients with epilepsy or those at risk of convulsing, it can cause seizure aggravation.
