Citopam tablets contains citalopram 20 mg which is used in the treatment of depression, anxiety disorder, phobia, post traumatic stress disorder and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Citopam 20 mg Tablet is a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) antidepressant. It works by increasing the levels of serotonin, a chemical messenger in the brain. This improves mood and physical symptoms in depression and relieves symptoms of panic and obsessive disorders.
How to use
Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Citopam 20 mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Precaution
Citopam 20 mg Tablet may cause excessive drowsiness and calmness with alcohol,thus should be avoided. It is unsafe to use during pregnancy and lactation. It should also be used with caution in liver and kidney disease.Dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
