Duromine (Phentermine) is an anorectic agent (an agent that suppresses appetite). It is for people with overweight and weight-related complications or obesity. It is meant to be used as a short-term adjunct in a comprehensive regimen of weight reduction, which includes diet and exercise.
Dose
- Duromine comes in capsule form, to be taken by mouth.
- Swallow the capsules whole with plenty of water. Do not chew or open the capsules.
- The best time to take Duromine is first thing in the morning (before breakfast or 1 to 2 hours after breakfast), as it can cause sleeplessness if taken at night. Taking it at the same time each day will have the best effect. It will also help you remember when to take it.
- It is important that you take the dose the doctor has recommended for you. Taking more than the recommended dose will increase the side effects you experience and may not increase the effect on weight loss.
