Otoix Ear Drop is a combination of four medicines: Lidocaine, Clotrimazole, Beclometasone and Neomycin. Lidocaine is a local anesthetic which works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain to decrease pain sensationin the ear. Clotrimazole is an antifungal which stops the growth of fungi while Ofloxacin is an antibiotic that prevents bacterial cells from dividing and repairing. This treats your ear infection. Beclometasone is a steroid. It blocks the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that make the ear red, swollen and itchy.
Dosage
This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor.
Precautions
Finish the prescribed dose even if you feel better as stopping the treatment earlier may reverse the symptoms.Do not touch the tip of the dropper, or of your ear to prevent contamination.Inform your doctor if you notice mild irritation in the ear, dizziness, headache, earache, or changes in taste may occur.Make sure to use it within 4 weeks of opening the bottle.
