Lorhistina contains Loratadine as the active ingridient. It is an antihistamine medicine that helps with the symptoms of allergies. It's used to treat:
hay fever
conjunctivitis (red, itchy eyes)
eczema
hives (urticaria)
reactions to insect bites and stings
some food allergies
Loratadine is known as a non-drowsy antihistamine. It's much less likely to make you feel sleepy than some other antihistamines.
Dosage
You'll usually take loratadine once a day.
Adults and children aged 2 years and older can take loratadine.
The usual dose in adults is 10mg once a day.
The usual Pediatric dose in 2 to 5 years old children is 5 mg orally once a day and 6 years and older is 10 mg orally once a day.
