Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup 125ml is used for Bronchiectasis, Sneezing, Allergic disorders, Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, Nose itching, Eye irritation and other conditions. Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide.
Rhinathiol Promethazine is a cough syrup used for the alleviation of unproductive and irritating coughs in adults and children of 2 years and above. It contains carbocisteine and promethazine.
Promethazine is an antihistamine while carbocisteine is a mucolytic that reduces the thickness of the sputum and makes the sputum easy to remove.
Rhinathiol Promethazine contains Carbocisteine and Promethazine as active ingredients.
Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup works by reducing the viscosity of sputum; blocking histamines or nitrogenous compounds
Directions for use:
Adults and children above 12 years: 3-4 tablespoons (12.5ml-15ml) three times per day.
Children 6-12 year: 7.5ml-12.5ml three times per day.
Children 2-5 years: 2.5ml-5ml, three times per day.
Precautions
Hypersensitivity to Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup is a contraindication. In addition, Rhinathiol Promethazine Syrup should not be used if you have the following conditions:
-Active peptic ulceration
-Allergic to it or any of its ingredients
-Children below the age of two years
-Concomitant therapy with monoamine oxidase inhibitor inhibitors
-Depression
