Bonjela Gel contains Choline salicylate and Cetalkonium chloride.
It is used for the relief of pain, discomfort and inflammation associated with mouth ulcers, cold sores, denture, brace and sore spots. It is also used in mouth ulcers, and sore spots due to orthodontic devices. It also helps to fight minor mouth infection and aid healing.
It is sugar free.
Directions for use
The gel is for oral use.
Adults and children over the age of 16 years:
Using a clean finger massage approximately half an inch of the gel onto the sore area. This can be repeated after every 3 hours.
Denture irritation/sores: Do not apply directly onto the dentures. Leave at least 30 minutes before reinsertion of the dentures.
Precautions
Do not use in children and adolescents under 16 years because there is a possible association between salicylates and reye's syndrome in children. It is a rare disease that affects the brain and liver and can be fatal.
Do not use more than recommended. If symptoms persist for more than 7 days, consult your doctor/dentist.
