Quadrajel Gel contains Lidocaine Topical (2%w/w) + Chlorhexidine Gluconate (1%w/w) + Metronidazole Topical (1%w/w used in the treatment of mouth sores.
Lidocaine Topical is a local anesthetic. It works by blocking pain signals from the nerves to brain which decreases pain sensation.
Chlorhexidine Gluconate is an antiseptic which binds to the surface of teeth, inner cheeks and gums. This kills the infectious microorganisms that cause gum disease, tartar and other mouth infections.
Metronidazole Topical is an antibiotic which kills the bacteria and other microorganisms by damaging the DNA.
How to use Quadragel
Rinse mouth with water. Apply a small quantity of gel on the affected area with a clean finger or cotton swab 2-3 times a day or as directed by the physician. Do not wash the mouth or drink any fluid for 30 minutes.
Precaution
Quadrajel Gel may be unsafe to use during pregnancy and probably safe to use during lactation.
