Crestor 20 mg Tablet contains Rosuvastatin 20 mg which is used in the treatment of high cholesterol. Crestor 20 mg Tablet is a lipid-lowering medication (statin). It works by blocking an enzyme that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It thus lowers "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises "good" cholesterol (HDL).
DOSE
Crestor is available in tablets of 5, 10, 20 and 40 mg strengths. Usual dose ranges from 5 to 20 mg per day. Crestor should be taken with water once a day at the same time of day, with or without food. Dosage may be adjusted depending on what medicines the patient is already taking.
PRECAUTION
Taking alcohol with Rosuvastatin increases the chances of liver dysfunction. Crestor 20 mg Tablet is highly unsafe to use during pregnancy and probably unsafe to use during lactation. Crestor 20 mg should be used with caution in patients with kidney and liver disease. Dose adjustment may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
