Description
Acinet 375mg
contains amoxicillin 250mg +
clavulanic acid 125mg. It has
a broad spectrum activity against:
Upper respiratory tract infections (including ENT) e.g. tonsillitis, sinusitis, otitis media.
Lower respiratory tract infections e.g. acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, lobar and bronchopneumonia.
Genito-urinary tract infections e.g. cystitis, urethritis, pyelonephritis.
Skin and soft tissue infections, e.g. boils, abscesses, cellulitis, wound infections.
Bone and joint infections e.g. osteomyelitis.
Dental infections e.g. dentoalveolar abscess
Other infections e.g. septic abortion, puerperal sepsis, intra-abdominal sepsis.
Dose
The recommended dose of Acinet varies depending on the specific infection being treated, the severity of the infection, and the age and weight of the patient. It is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by your healthcare provider. The following are general guidelines for dosing:
Adults and children >12yrs or >40kg : 375mg three times a day
Acinet should be taken at the start of a meal to enhance the absorption of amoxicillin and to minimize the potential for gastrointestinal intolerance.
