Ascoril Expectorant contains Bromhexine, Guaifenesin, Menthol and Salbutamol as active ingredients. It is indicated for symptomatic relief of productive cough associated with respiratory disorders e.g, acute bronchitis, acute exacerbation of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia & asthmatic bronchitis. Ascoril Expectorant works by increasing the viscid or excessive mucus in respiratory tract thus making phlegm thinner; temporarily relieving minor pain; relaxing and opening the airways; reducing the phlegm in the air passages.
How to use
Adults and Children over 12 years: 10 mL (2 teaspoons) three times a day.
Children from 6 to 12 years: 5 mL (1 teaspoon) three times a day.
Children from 2 to 5 years: 2.5 mL (1/2 teaspoon) three times a day.
Not recommended in children below 2 years.
Precautions
Hypersensitivity to any of the ingridients.
Lactation and Pregnancy can cause featal harm. Do not use in children below 2yrs.
Do not use as main or only treatment for severe unstable asthma. Reassess patient if usual relief or duration of action is reduced.
May cause myocardial ischaemia.
