Atm Suspension contains azithromycin 200mg/5ml which is an antibiotic medication. It is commonly given to children for the treatment of a wide range of bacterial infections targeting the ear, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and gastrointestinal tract.
Dose
Paediatric population 10 mg/kg/day for 3 consecutive days.
For children weighing 45 kg or more, the adult dose can be used (500 mg/day for three consecutive days). Or
Weight (Kg) Dosage regimen
< 15kg: 10 mg/kg/day for 3 days
15-25kg: 200 mg (5 mL)/day for 3 days
26-35kg: 300 mg (7.5 mL)/day for 3 days
36-45kg: 400 mg (10 mL)/day for 3 days
> 45kg: 500 mg/day for 3 days (same dosage as adults)
Precautions
Inform your child’s doctor about any previous episode of any allergy, heart problem, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. Knowing the child’s medical history is critical for dose alterations and for planning your child’s overall treatment.
