Cadistin Expectorant is a combination medicine used to treat tough coughs. It works by loosening thick and sticky mucus plugs and promotes expectoration in infections and allergies of the respiratory system like asthma, bronchitis, laryngitis, tracheitis, pharyngitis, pertussis, influenza, measles, tuberculosis, chronic paranasal sinusitis and smoker's cough. This medicine also relieves allergic symptoms like runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, throat irritation.
Dosage
Adults: 2 teaspoonfuls (10ml) 3 to 4 times a day.
Children: is 1/2 (2.5ml) to 1 (5ml) teaspoonfuls three times a day or as advised by the doctor.
Precautions
This medicine can cause sleepiness, so do not drive or do anything that requires mental focus until you know how this medicine affects you. Avoid drinking alcohol while taking this medicine as it can make sleepiness worse.
