Description

Cataflam syrup is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to relieve pain and reduce inflammation. It contains the active ingredient diclofenac potassium, which works by inhibiting the production of pain-causing substances in the body. Cataflam syrup is typically prescribed for the treatment of various conditions, including musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, menstrual cramps, and dental pain. It is available in liquid form, making it easier to administer to children or individuals who have difficulty swallowing tablets. As with any medication, it is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by a healthcare professional and only use it as directed.

DOSE

The dosage of Cataflam syrup varies depending on the condition, age, weight, and individual factors of the patient. It is essential to follow the dosage instructions provided by a healthcare professional. Adults usually start with 50 mg (10 mL) two to three times daily, which may be adjusted based on the individual's response. The maximum daily dose is 150 mg (30 mL). For children aged 1 to 12, the dose is determined by their weight, usually starting at 1-2 mg/kg per day divided into two to three doses. Cataflam syrup should be taken with food to prevent stomach upset and at consistent times each day. Consult a healthcare professional for appropriate dosage instructions.
