CEPROLEN EYE/EAR DROPS 5ML is used to treat bacterial infections of the eyes including conjunctivitis (pinkeye, infection of the membrane that covers the outside of the eyeball and the inside of the eyelid).It is also used to treat an corneal ulcers (infection and loss of tissue in the clear front part of the eye).
As an eardrop, this antibiotic is used to treat outer and middle ear infections caused by bacteria. It is also used to prevent ear infections after ear surgery.
Dose
For bacterial conjunctivitis:
Adults and children—Put 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye every 2 hours, while awake, for 2 days. Then, put 1 or 2 drops in the affected eye every 4 hours, while awake, for the next 5 days.
You should wash your hands properly before administering Ceprolen 0.3 % Drops. Do not touch the tip of the dropper. Follow all the usage instructions mentioned on the label and administer the drops into the affected organ exactly as directed. You will start to feel better in a couple of days after using this ciprofloxacin eye/ear drop.
Precautions
If the eye infection does not improve within a few days, or if it becomes worse, check with your doctor.
This medicine may cause your eyes to become more sensitive to light than they are normally. Wearing sunglasses and avoiding too much exposure to bright light may help lessen the discomfort.
