Alatrol is indicated for;
the relief of symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis due to allergen. Symptoms treated effectively include sneezing, rhinorrhea, pruritus, ocular pruritus, tearing and redness of the eyes.
the relief of symptoms associated with perennial allergic rhinitis due to allergens. Symptoms treated effectively include sneezing, rhinorrhea, post-nasal discharge, nasal pruritus, ocular pruritus and tearing.
for the treatment of the uncomplicated skin manifestations of chronic idiopathic urticaria. It is also used in allergen induced asthma.
Dose
- Adults and children above the age of six should take one pill or two teaspoons daily. (or 1 teaspoonful twice daily).
- For children ages 2 to 6: 1 teaspoon or 1/2 teaspoon twice day.
- Children from 6 months to 2 years should consume 1/2 teaspoon each day. Children between the ages of 12 and 23 months can get a dosage increase up to a maximum of 1/2 teaspoon every 12 hour.
- Alatrol is administered with or without food.
Precautions

Inform your doctor or pharmacist about any of your medical conditions before using this drug, especially those that may affect your ability to urinate, such as an enlarged prostate, kidney disease, or liver disease.
Avoid drinking alcohol. You may become more sleepy after consuming alcohol.
Products made of liquid may include sugar. You should use caution if you have diabetes. Inquire with your doctor or pharmacist about the safe use of this product.
