Combigan Eye Drops 5ml are a prescription medication used to reduce high intraocular pressure in patients with open-angle glaucoma or ocular hypertension. The standard dosage is one drop in the affected eye(s) twice a day, spaced about 12 hours apart.
How It Works
Combigan is a combination of two active ingredients that lower eye pressure by decreasing fluid production and increasing fluid drainage:

Brimonidine Tartrate (0.2%): An alpha-adrenergic agonist that increases the outflow of fluid from the eye.

Timolol Maleate (0.5%): A beta-blocker that reduces the amount of fluid produced inside the eye.
Important Usage Tips

Application: Wash your hands before use. Pull down your lower lid to create a pouch and squeeze one drop inside, making sure the dropper does not touch your eye or any surface. Press your finger against the inner corner of your eye (near your nose) for one minute immediately after applying to maximize absorption.

Contact Lenses: Remove soft contact lenses before using the drops and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

Other Medications: If you are using multiple types of eye drops, wait at least 5 minutes between applying different medications.

Discard: Ensure you discard any remaining solution within 4 weeks after opening the bottle.
Potential Side Effects
Common side effects include burning, stinging, itching, redness, dryness, or a temporary blurring of vision. If you experience severe eye pain, vision changes, or signs of an allergic reaction, discontinue use and contact your doctor immediately.
