EMITOSS 8MG TABS contains ondansetron which treats and prevents of nausea and vomiting. Also, it inhibits the action of serotonin, a chemical messenger that can trigger nausea and vomiting.
Dose
Take any other doses as directed by your doctor. Ondansetron may be taken up to 3 times a day for 1 to 2 days after your chemotherapy or radiation treatment is finished. If you are taking this medication on a prescribed schedule, take it regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. To help you remember, take it at the same times each day.
Precaution
Before taking ondansetron, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or to other anti-nausea serotonin blockers (such as granisetron); or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
