Gentamicin 0.3% eye drops (10ml) is a prescription-only aminoglycoside antibiotic used to treat bacterial eye infections, such as conjunctivitis (pink eye), blepharitis, and corneal ulcers.
Because it targets bacteria, it will not work for viral or fungal eye infections.

How to Apply Eye Drops Correctly
To safely apply the drops and prevent contaminating the bottle, follow these steps:

Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water.

Tilt your head back slightly and look upward.

Pull down your lower eyelid gently with your index finger to create a small pocket.

Hold the dropper directly over the eye pocket. Do not touch the tip of the dropper to your eye, eyelids, fingers, or any other surface.

Squeeze 1 drop into the pocket.

Close your eye gently for 1 to 2 minutes. Press lightly on the inner corner of your eye (near your nose) to keep the medication from draining into your tear duct.

Repeat in the other eye if explicitly directed by your doctor.
Warnings & Contact Lenses

Contact Lenses: Do not wear contact lenses while you have an active eye infection. Furthermore, gentamicin drops contain a preservative (benzalkonium chloride) that can absorb into and ruin soft contact lenses. Wait at least 15 to 24 hours after finishing your entire treatment course before wearing lenses again, or consult your eye doctor.

Temporary Blurry Vision: Your vision may blur for a few minutes immediately after putting the drops in. Avoid driving or operating machinery until your vision completely clears.

Side Effects: Mild stinging, burning, or redness right after application is normal. However, if you experience severe eye pain, worsening redness, swelling, or a rash, stop using the drops immediately and seek medical attention.
