Ibucap Forte is a double-action, high-strength pain reliever. It combines two main painkillers with a stimulant to provide enhanced, fast-acting relief for moderate to severe pain.
Active Ingredients & Composition
Each capsule contains a fixed-dose combination of three active ingredients:
-
Ibuprofen (400 mg): A Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) that targets swelling, reduces redness, and alleviates pain at the site of inflammation.
-
Paracetamol / Acetaminophen (325 mg): An analgesic and antipyretic that acts on the central nervous system to lower fever and block pain signals.
-
Caffeine (30 mg): A stimulant that enhances the pain-relieving efficacy of both ibuprofen and paracetamol, allowing for a faster onset of action.
Common Uses & Indications
Ibucap Forte is primarily prescribed or taken for the short-term management of intense or stubborn painful conditions, including:
- Unbearable or throbbing headaches and migraines
- Severe dental pain or toothache
- Menstrual cramps (period pain / dysmenorrhea)
- Musculoskeletal issues, such as severe backaches, joint pain, arthritis, and rheumatism
- Pain and high fever caused by acute inflammation or infections
Recommended Dosage
-
Adults and children over 12 years: The usual starting dose is 1 capsule taken with water. If necessary, you can take 1 capsule every 4 to 6 hours.
-
Maximum Limit: Do not exceed 3 capsules daily (within a 24-hour window).
-
Administration: It must always be taken with or after food to safeguard your stomach lining against NSAID-induced irritation.
-
Age Restriction: This medication is strictly contraindicated for children under 12 years.
Key Warnings & Precautions
Because Ibucap Forte contains a potent NSAID, you must take it with caution:
-
Stomach Ulcers: Avoid this medication entirely if you have an active stomach ulcer, history of gastrointestinal bleeding, or recurrent stomach pain.
-
Organ Health: It is contraindicated if you suffer from severe heart failure, high blood pressure, or underlying liver or kidney diseases.
-
Pregnancy: It should be avoided, particularly during the third trimester of pregnancy, as NSAIDs can impact fetal development.
-
Do Not Duplicate: Avoid taking this medication alongside other paracetamol- or ibuprofen-containing products, as doing so puts you at high risk of an accidental overdose.
