Mediven Cream is a topical cream. It is used for the treatment of a wide range of skin conditions such as psoriasis(scales and itchy, dry patches), dermatitis (skin irritation), eczema(itchy inflammation of the skin), Senile pruritus(itch without rash) and other inflammatory skin conditions. It contains steroid betamethasone that helps in relieving swelling, inflammation and redness of the skin. Mediven Cream is meant for external applications only.
How to use
Apply a small quantity of the Mediven cream on the affected parts and rub gently twice or thrice in a day until improvement occurs. If no improvement is seen within 2-4 weeks, re-assesment of diagnosis may be necessary.
Precautions
Do not use:
If you are allergic to Beclometasone or any other ingredients of Mediven cream.
If you have any infection or infected skin.
If you have acne or pimples, skin redness near or on the nose, rash around your mouth, itching or itchy skin.
If pregnant and breastfeeding. There is limited information available about the use of Mediven Cream in such women. Avoid using unless prescribed by the doctor.
Mediven Cream must not be used for children under 1 year of age.
It must be used with caution and avoid using it for more than 5 days if applying it on the face or children's skin. It absorbs a large amount of medicine and causes adverse effects.
