Night Nurse Capsules is an over-the-counter medication specifically formulated for the night-time relief of major cold, chills, and flu symptoms, while helping you get a restful night's sleep to support recovery.
Active Ingredients & How They Work
Each capsule contains a combination of three active ingredients designed to target multiple symptoms at once:
-
Paracetamol (500mg): Acts as a painkiller and reduces body temperature to relieve headaches, sore throats, shivers, aches, and fevers.
-
Promethazine Hydrochloride (10mg): An antihistamine that helps dry up a runny nose, relieves sneezing, and induces drowsiness to aid a restful night's sleep.
-
Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide (7.5mg): A cough suppressant that works to relieve dry, tickly, and persistent night-time coughs.

Who can take it: Adults and adolescents aged 16 years and over (Note: Some manufacturing guidelines state 12 years and over, but standard UK pharmacy packaging explicitly restricts it to 16+ unless under medical supervision).
