OJEN OZ TABLET is a combination medicine that consists of Ofloxacin and ornidazole. It is a prescription medicine used to treat diarrhoea caused by bacteria and parasites (micro-organisms that live in other's bodies and use their nutrients to reproduce) in adults. OJEN OZ TABLET works by killing the bacteria and parasite by blocking their reproduction process.
Dosage
It should be taken with food for better absorption. Take this medicine at the prescribed dose and time to maintain its steady levels in your body. Avoid taking this medicine more than the prescribed dose as an overdose may harm you. Do not skip any dose and finish the full course of the treatment even if you feel better after taking a few doses.
Precautions
Consumption of alcohol is not recommended during treatment with OJEN OZ TABLET as it may cause side effects like dizziness, lightheadedness, confusion, etc.
It is not recommended to be used in pregnancy as it may harm your foetus.
It is not recommended to be used during breastfeeding. Your doctor may advise you to discontinue breastfeeding while taking this medicine. Once breastfeeding gets resumed after the therapy, the baby should be observed for diarrhoea and yeast infection (diaper rash or a thick white coating on your baby’s tongue).
