Olopatadine eye drop is a medicine for treatment and control of allergic conditions of the eye. It works in two different ways by reducing and controlling the intensity of the allergic reaction.
Olopatadine eye drop is used for the treatment of itchy eyes associated with seasonal allergic conjunctivitis. Allergic conjunctivitis: Some materials (allergens) like pollens, house dust or animal fur may cause allergic reactions resulting in itching, redness as well as swelling of the surface of your eye.
Dose
Apply OLOPAT EYE DROPS as advised by your physician. It is for ophthalmic use only. Wash your hands before application. Tilt your head slightly backwards and place the tip of the container close to your eyes.
Gently pull your lower eyelid and instill few drops of OLOPAT EYE DROPS as directed by your physician. Close your eyes and gently press the inner corner of your eye for 2 minutes. Repeat the same in the other eye if required.
Leave a time gap of at least 5 minutes before applying other eye drops or ointments after applying OLOPAT EYE DROPS. If you wear soft contact lenses, make sure to remove them before using OLOPAT EYE DROPS and wait for at least 10 minutes before reinsertion.
While application, do not touch the tip of the container with your eyes, eyelids or areas around your eyes or fingers, to avoid contamination. Your doctor will decide the correct dose and duration of therapy for you depending upon your age, body weight and health condition.
Precaution
OLOPAT EYE DROPS should be used with caution in pregnant women. Therefore, consult your doctor before using it.
OLOPAT EYE DROPS is not recommended for use in breast-feeding women. Therefore, if your breastfeeding, inform your doctor before using OLOPAT EYE DROPS as a precaution.
Do not drive or operate any machines if you experience blurred vision after using OLOPAT EYE DROPS.
Do not use OLOPAT EYE DROPS if you are allergic to olopatadine.
