Pepto Bismol LiquiCaps are liquid-filled capsules designed to provide rapid, portable relief from five common digestive symptoms: nausea, heartburn, indigestion, upset stomach, and diarrhea. Each capsule contains 262 mg of bismuth subsalicylate, the same proven active ingredient found in original Pepto Bismol liquid.
Usage & Dosage Instructions
LiquiCaps should be swallowed whole with water; do not chew them.

For Adults and Children 12 Years and Older:

Upset Stomach, Heartburn, Indigestion, & Nausea: Take 2 LiquiCaps every 30 to 60 minutes as needed.

Diarrhea: Take 2 LiquiCaps every 30 minutes OR 4 LiquiCaps every hour as needed.

Maximum Daily Limit: Do not exceed 16 LiquiCaps (8 doses) within a 24-hour period.

For Children Under 12: Consult a doctor before use.

Duration: Stop use and consult a physician if diarrhea lasts more than 2 days or if your stomach symptoms worsen.

Reye's Syndrome: Children and teenagers who have or are recovering from chickenpox or flu-like symptoms should not use this product. If changes in behavior with nausea and vomiting occur, consult a doctor immediately, as these can be early signs of Reye's syndrome.

Salicylate Allergy: This medication contains salicylate. Avoid taking it if you are allergic to aspirin or any other salicylate-based pain relievers/anti-inflammatories.

Contraindications: Do not use if you have an active stomach ulcer, bleeding problems, or if you are passing bloody or black stools.

Drug Interactions: Consult a healthcare professional before taking Pepto Bismol if you are currently taking blood thinners (anticoagulants), diabetes medications, or arthritis medications.

Harmless Side Effect: Bismuth subsalicylate can react with trace amounts of sulfur in your digestive tract, which may temporarily turn your stool or tongue black. This is harmless and will disappear after you stop using the medication.

Dehydration: If you are experiencing diarrhea, make sure to drink plenty of clear fluids to prevent dehydration.
