Dilution is mandatory: Shake the ampoule well, snap off both tips, and pour the contents into a glass of plain water, sweetened water, or fruit juice. Never drink it straight from the ampoule.

Timing: It is best absorbed when taken on an empty stomach before meals. If it causes stomach upset, it can be taken with or after meals.

Avoid interactions: Do not mix or take Tot'hema at the same time as tea, coffee, milk, or calcium supplements, as they significantly block iron absorption. Leave at least a 2-hour gap.
Potential Side Effects

Stooled discoloration: Stools will turn black, which is completely harmless and normal during iron therapy.

Teeth staining: Liquid iron can temporarily stain teeth yellow, brown, or black. Using a straw to drink the mixture and brushing your teeth immediately after helps prevent this.

Important Contraindications
